March 20, 1941 - December 19, 2007, These are the dates that show the beginning and the end of life for the man, William H Olive. It is the - (Dash) that must be remembered. I had the wonderful privilege of knowing Bill for 17 years of that -(dash), In that time I learned many things from him, about him, about his family, his beliefs and his life. I am proud to say I am one who will carry on the life of Bill Olive, The things that he taught me will be with me forever, I will share and pass those on to my children, friends and to those around me who will listen.

I will forever be grateful for the knowledge he has given me about the sport of Bowling, I will miss, but never forget the simple words of wisdom he always imparted at just the right times, Like, "This ball this frame, as good as you can" and "The pins never lie". I would not be the accomplished player that I am if not for the guidance of Bill Olive. I must give all the Glory for my accomplishments to God, because God gave me Bill Olive as a Friend and Mentor.

Thankfully, I am not the only one that Bill has had this effect on and relationship with, whether or not you liked him or agreed with him, he was respected by the Bowling Community in Mid Missouri and they are some how all better for having known or met Bill Olive.

God has added one more player to his elite team of Bowlers in heaven, I rejoice in knowing that he is with our Heavenly Father (probably arguing with him about something!), May god continue to bless each and every member of his family, Keith, Mike, Tim, Kay, most of all Mary Ellen, may Gods Hand of Comfort be upon you in this time of sorrow and fill you with the knowledge you will again be together in Gods Kingdom.

With Much Love,

Shawn & Pam Flanary and Family

The American Eagle

Our Nation’s Official Bird, the American Eagle, stands for many things:

Strength in adversity

 Grace in flight

 Regal in color

 Honesty in all situations

 Integrity beyond reproach

 Leadership in its world

 Generosity

 Encouragement to excel

Resilience in challenges to life

Bill Olive was true to the attributes of the American Eagle and is one of few who can say they soared with Eagles.

Rest in Peace my friend and always remember those who are left behind strive to soar with the eagle as you did.

Bill and Karen Miller
