Bill & Mary Ellen enjoying a 4th of July.
Debbie Blaisdall's Tribute to
Bill Olive
Bill was so much fun! He always
enjoyed the game of bowling and the challenges of lanes, equipment and
those requesting his expertise. I'll miss his hugs and smooches!
He was a great encouragement in my bowling career. I couldn't have
gotten to where I am without his dedication to practice, drilling the
perfect equipment, sponsorship for teams and tournaments. Hind sight
is 20-20. You were right, Bill, and you can say "I told you so."
My involvement in the gentlemen did slow the bowling career. But I
still enjoy the game and I will have that perfect game someday.
Occasionally, I'd meet Bill at EFFC and we'd go get Chinese lunch.
That was always a treat to share lunch and talk bowling!
Remember the bright blue team shirts with hot pink "Kegler Pro Shop" on
the back? Don't forget the hot pink skirt to match. *SMILE*
I remember the last minute substitution at Nationals and Bill helping to
get shoes and equipment for me to bowl. And of course, the pictures
together at Nationals. He even sponsored the pregnant woman and took
her to Nationals in Utah with the gang to bowl. That was fun!
Bill, we all love you! Every
person you met has been touched in some special way. Thank you for
what you've given me!
Hugs and smooches and blessings,
Debbie Blaisdell

Bob & Dottie Dierking's Tribute
to Bill Olive
Like many people before me, I first met Bill on the bowling lanes and became friends very quickly. I spent several years bowling with Bill on his scratch team. What a great time that was. His knowledge, dedication, and deep passion for the sport of Bowling was undeniably contagious. When I hear the name "Bill Olive", I am immediately reminded of a lyric from country singer Randy Travis hit song, "Three Wooden Crosses".
"I GUESS IT'S NOT
WHAT YOU TAKE WHEN YOU LEAVE THIS WORLD BEHIND YOU. IT'S WHAT YOU LEAVE
BEHIND YOU WHEN YOU GO".
Simply put, The memories, acknowledgements and achievements that Bill
Olive left behind are WAY-WAY too many for this humble bowler to mention.
I will miss his
passion for bowling, but mostly I will miss his friendship. He will
definitely not be forgotten.
Dottie, and I, wish to express our condolences to the family, and we are
deeply saddened by their loss.
