A Wife's Letter to Her Husband

Bill,

It’s been almost four months since you died and our anniversary is coming up.  I was hoping to spend our 45th anniversary together, but that was not in the big plan.

I know I should let you go, you’ve got so many “things to see and do”, but I’m finding it hard.  I know you are in a better place and for that I am grateful, but it still hurts so much.

I will make it though!  Keith, Mike and Kay have been helping so much.  We’ve got a bunch of great kids and for that I Thank God.  Tim is in Afghanistan.  Will you keep an eye on him Bill and keep him safe?

Your cohorts in the bowling arena have been great too.  I know if I need anything, all I have to do is call one of them.

But what I really need, no one but you can give to me.  But like I said, “I’ll make it!”  It will just take a little longer.  I think when this month is over it’ll get better.  No – I know it will, because I’ll make it better!

God Bless and Keep you Bill.  I’m looking forward to the day when I see you again but until then I’m going to do what you would want me to do and try and live every day to the fullest and I’ll try to be happy because I know you would want me to.

Remember always Bill, I LOVE YOU and I always will.

Mary Ellen
